Humanistic therapy, also known as the humanistic approach, is an umbrella term that covers several types of therapy, which in this case includes, Gestalt, Existential, and Focusing approaches as and when appropriate. It looks at everything that makes you who you are as a unique individual and your relationship with the world around you.
Humanistic therapy provides you with a safe, accepting, non-judgmental and explorative space to discover what drives you and what your abilities are. It can unlock your potential, identify patterns of behaviour and allow space for constructive and healthy emotional and psychological growth. It can be helpful for self-destructive behaviours, abandonment issues and learning how to soothe and regulate emotions.
